PIHRA Burbank/Glendale and Downtown Los Angeles Districts are partnering for the first 2018 MEGA MIXER!

The evening featured a dynamic, interactive panel discussion with the Founders of four successful Service Provider start-ups that have broken new ground in Employee-Engagement benefits. The moderated, interactive panel discussion and Q&A with the founders of Helpr, PearIt, The Headshot Truck and EthicsSuite shared the arc of moving their innovative employee-benefit companies from concept to funding to launch to ultimate success, and the challenges overcome along the way.
Helpr:
Becka Klauber Richter & Kasey Edwards founded Helpr in January 2016. CEO Kasey Edwards and President Becka Klauber Richter, started out as college friends who met at the University of California Santa Barbara. The duo previously ran a similar service, called University Sitters, a boutique agency for personalized child care. Helpr is available in six major markets, including Los Angeles and San Francisco, New York City, Chicago and now Seattle. To date, the start-up has raised just under $1 million in funding from angel investors and a micro VC firm and employs six employees.
The Headshot Truck:
Brian Confer is Founder and Director of Strategy & Marketing for The Headshot Truck. The Headshot Truck is the first mobile photography studio in the country with trucks in Los Angeles, New York, and Atlanta. They specialize in personal and company branding headshots for professionals. After leaving another startup in 2014, Brian joined The Headshot Truck in January of 2015 and has been a part of launching two cities, acquiring financing, and developing our scalable business model. He has helped the company reach over $1M in sales to date with 2018 set to be a huge year!
PearIt:
RJ Tolson has helped develop numerous brands and startups, is on the board of several, and is the co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Pearit. He is an award-winning bestselling author of 4 books and two Manga, and an internationally recognized entrepreneur. He's toured around the US, Europe, and China lecturing audiences @ primary schools, universities, and companies about business, publishing, innovation, fashion, and more. RJ has also worked with a variety of organizations and brands, ranging from the White House, WeWork, and LA Fashion Week to smaller startups and newly-created brands. By the age of 19, RJ had already been featured in media profiles on NBC, CBS, ABC, Telemundo.

Juliette Gust is Founder & President of Ethics Suite, LLC. Juliette has personally led over 1,300 investigations spanning 75 countries, and advised on close to 10,000 whistleblower reports. Juliette is a former PwC Regulatory, Forensics and Hospitality & Leisure Advisory Services manager, and later developed and served as the Director of the Global Fraud & Investigations team and Project Manager of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Program for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, a Fortune 500 company with 180,000 employees in more than 100 countries.
